This Superlift suspension lift is designed for use on all 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 model year Silverado or Sierra 1500 4x4 trucks. This kit uses the same proven lift method to lift the 1999+ as they do in their 88-98 kits. The factory upper and lower control arms are lowered in relation to the frame, which brings ride height up. This method allows you to keep the factory steering knuckles, so tire track width is not increased. Also, by retaining the factory control arms and torsion bars, factory alignment geometry and ride quality is unaffected. The front differential assembly is lowered a full 6 to keep CV axle angles in check. This is accomplished by using two, one-piece tubular crossmembers that span from frame rail-to-frame rail. Superlifts new control arm brackets tie into these crossmembers along with optional kicker braces to form an exceptionally strong assembly. Installation does not require trimming of the front differential, unlike some competitors offerings. The truck steers through a centerlink. Bracketry lowers the factory centerlink to keep the tie rods in phase with the lower control arms. A greasable stabilizing link regulates centerlink movement and reduces the load and stress transmitted to the pitman and idler arms. Note that the pickup systems offer a 1.5 finished front lift height range, from 6 to 7.5. Front vehicle height is determined by torsion bar adjustment; you choose rear lift height and method.
