This Daystar Urethane Spring Spacer Kit is designed for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 2wd Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 series trucks only. This simple Daystar 2" lift coil spring spacer for the 2wd Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 can be used by itself to help level your Ram or in conjunction with a lift spindle to increase front end ride height. This spring spacer can also be used in conjunction with 3" body lift kits. These spring spacers will lift the 2wd Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 approximately 2 inches and work on all cab styles, bed lengths, gas and diesel engines, including the Cummins 5.9L and newer 6.7L, and all transmissions. Basically, if you own a 2WD Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 this spacer fits! Please note, these spacers are NOT 2" inches thick, they do however provide 2" of lift when installed. This item includes a pair of Daystar urethane spring spacers, no more and no less. New shocks are optional when installing 2" lift coil spacers but are not absolutely required. On the Dodge 2wd trucks the stock front shock acts as a limiter for the front suspension. Use of a factory length front shock will prevent the front suspension from over-extending. Use of an aftermarket shock that is longer than stock may allow the upper control arm to top out on the frame when the suspension is fully extended. This can lead to a clunking noise as the metal arm hits the metal frame. For this reason, PerformanceLifts.com recommends using a factory length shock absorber with these 2" lift coil spring spacers. We do however offer longer shock absorbers for customers that want them. Increasing the front shock length does allow for additional rebound suspension travel which can in most cases improve ride quality.
