Fabtech Motorsport offers their FTS21008 6" suspension lift kit for the 2500HD owner that needs to get his or her truck up above the rest! Fabtech offers this 6" lift kit for all 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD 2wd and 4wd pickup trucks. With this kit installed you can easily clear a 35" or metric equivalent size tire when mounted on a 16x8" wheel with no more than 4-5/8 inches of back space. Customers that have trucks that were equipped with 17" wheels from the factory must use 17" or larger aftermarket wheels! This awesome 6" suspension lift kit by Fabtech is designed for Chevrolet or GMC 2500HD owners looking to make an already great looking vehicle even better! Shortly after the release of the Silverado truck line in 1999, GM introduced a fully revamped line of 2wd and 4WD heavy duty trucks for 2001. These new HD series trucks received a torsion bar front suspension with a leaf spring rear suspension. This made designing a lift kit more difficult but the pros at Fabtech came up with a kit that performs as good as it looks. The front end lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers. Solid steel billet sway bar end links with urethane bushings retain the factory front sway bar angle while the stock upper control arms and steering centerlink are retained in the factory position. They even include an integrated differential skid plate to help protect the front end from those off-road encounters with rocks or stumps! Rear lift is accomplished using cast iron lift blocks and extended length u-bolts Please Note:
Wider than stock tires cannot be installed on the factory wheels. Fabtech recommends an aftermarket 16x8 or 17x8 wheel with a maximum back space of 4 5/8 inches be used.
