GMs venerable C1500 full-size truck is a stylish and rugged performer, heavily supported by the aftermarket, which means there are lots of goodies available to trick-out these haulers. For C1500 and C2500 light duty 2WD trucks, Fabtech designed a vast range of systems from their spindle system to the Ultimate long travel system. This Fabtech FTS1588-7 4" lift spindle design provides the simplest installation with the least amount of control arm modifications. This 4" spindle kit is a terrific choice for all-around performance and for those looking to gain height without sacrificing ride quality. By retaining the stock coilsprings, the ride will remain very similar to stock. The Fabtech FTS1588-7 lift spindles are designed to fit all 1988-1998 C1500 and 1988-1999 C2500 Extended Cab light duty trucks and 1992-1998 Standard Cab trucks. Fabtech offers the FTS1588-7BC lift spindle (a totally different part number) specifically for 1988-1991 Standard Cab models only. The FTS1588-7 will also fit most Chevrolet and GMC SUVs, including the 2wd Blazer, Tahoe, Suburban, and Yukon. The FTS1588-7 provides a full 4" of front end lift and increases ground clearance by four inches over stock! To level the vehicle PerformanceLifts.com suggests a 2" or 3" block be used. For those looking to give their Silverado or Sierra a prerun look a shorter 1" block is also available. To complete the installation PLC suggests purchasing aftermarket shocks and a rear block and u-bolt kit. The shocks, blocks, and u-bolts shown in the item picture are NOT included in the base price and must be purchased separately. Wider than stock tires cannot be installed on OEM wheels as they will rub the top of the spindle. Aftermarket wheels with a maximum back space of 4 3/4" are recommended.
