This item is often necessary after a lift kit has been installed. The purpose is to allow the front axle to be adjusted from side to side. On some kits this item is required to get the front axle proplery re-centered beneath the chassis. There are other adjustable pan-rod bars on the market that might cost less, but we havent been able to find one that is designed or built as stout as this one. This adjustable pan-rod bar is also called an adjustable track bar. It is designed to work with all Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension lift kits made for the 4wd 1999.5-2004 Super Duty and 2000-2005 Excursion, including their 3" lift leveling kit, 4" lift leaf spring kit, 4.5" lift spring hanger kit, 6" lift leaf spring kit, and the 8" lift leaf spring kit.
