This CST CSS-C3-11 Performance Suspension 5" lift kit is designed to fit the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon 4wd pickup and Z-71 series 2wd trucks equipped with the torsion bar equipped front suspension. This lift will not fit 2009 or newer models with the updated ABS sensor mounting location. This CST 5" suspension lift fits all cab and bed styles. The 5" suspension lift kit consists of a CST welded steel drop subframe, taller fabricated steel spindles, a rear add-a-leaf or replacement rear leaf springs as an option. This combination will easily clear a 285/70R17 tire mounted on an 8.00" inch wide wheel. This CST kit requires that wheels have no more than 4.50 inches of back space. Stock wheels will not work with larger tires unless you run a billet wheel spacer (not included). CST retains the factory torsion bar suspension design and does not drop the rear torsion bar mounts down. This ensures that ground clearance beneath the center of the truck is not reduced. To further protect the front drivetrain, CST includes a front differential skid plate that bolts to the lower subframe. The majority of lift is provided by the CST drop subframe. This means the ride quality after the vehicle is lifted will be about as close to stock as you can get. This CST CSS-C3-11 suspension lift rides NICE and it looks GREAT! The CST steering knuckles included with this lift are built by hand using high quality steel right here in the USA! The CST steering knuckles are NOT inexpensive cast lift spindles that you might see other manufacturers use. The price might be a little higher than other kits, but CST's attention to detail and product quality is worth it. Shock Absorber Options:
CST offers their CSR line of Mono-Tube Nitrogen pressurized shock absorbers for use with this lift. The CSR series is very similar in design and construction to a Bilstein 5100 series shock. PerformanceLifts.com also offers the Rancho RS5000 series shock absorber for use with the CST lift. Please note that the Fox shock shown in the product image is a special order item and may require 4-6 weeks for production. This CST 5" suspension system includes a pair of add-a-leafs that lift the rear of the truck approximately 2" inches over stock height. Please note that the installation of the 2" lift add-a-leafs by themselves will not fully level the Colorado or Canyon. The rear will sit lower than the front. You can see the truck in the product image has a lower rear stance. For customers that want to achieve a more level stance CST also offers a pair of 1" Rear Lift Shackles that can be purchased as an option. This 1" rear lift shackle is NOT included with the primary kit! PerformanceLifts.com also offers the Skyjacker 2.5" lift replacement rear spring packs, part number CCR25S, for customers looking to replace the entire factory GM leaf springs with a pair of 2.5" lift leaf springs. All of these rear suspension lift options can be selected using the drop down selection box located beneath this item description. The GMC Canyon 4x4 displayed is equipped with the CST 5" kit and 285/55 R20 BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires mounted on 20" wheels. This kit will clear larger 305 series tires, up to 34" in diameter.
