This CST Performance Suspension 5" spindle lift is designed to fit all 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 model year Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon 2wd pickup trucks built with the coil spring front suspension. That's right, CST has updated their spindle design and this item now fits the 2009 and 2010 Colorado and Canyon trucks with the revised ABS sensor mounting location. CST added a new ABS sensor boss to their lift spindle making this CST 5" lift spindle 100% compatible with the newer model year trucks! This 5" kit will fit all models equipped with a coil spring front suspension. This spindle lift is not for use on any 4x4 or torsion bar equipped Colorado or Canyon model! The 5" suspension lift kit consists of the CST CSS-C1-8 cast 5" lift spindles, extended front brake hoses, and a carrier bearing relocator drop kit. This lift will clear up to a 285/75R16 or 285/70R17 tire mounted on an 8" wide wheel. This CST kit requires that wheels have no more than 5.00 inches of back space. The ZQ8 Colorado and Canyon sits lower than a standard Z85 model. If you have the ZQ8 sport suspension package you may want to consider the CST 1" billet aluminum coil spring spacer to help get your truck sitting as tall as a Z85 model. To ensure you receive this spacer, please be sure to select your correct model from the drop down boxes located beneath this item description. CST retains the factory front coilover shock and coil spring with this kit. The majority of lift is provided by the CST lift spindles. This means the front suspension ride quality will be about as close to stock as you can get. This kit rides NICE and it looks GREAT! CST recommends their add-a-leaf spring kit to raise the back of the truck approximately 2" inches (pictured but NOT included). To complete the suspension package you may need to purchase extended length rear shocks. Replacement front shocks are not required to install the spindles. If you want your Colorado or Canyon to have a level stance PerformanceLifts.com strongly suggests the addition of the CST rear lift shackles to the CST add-a-leaf. Most customers agree that the CST add-a-leaf by itself does not provide enough rear lift to level the truck front to rear. If you like the back of your truck to sit a little lower than the front the add-a-leaf CST recommends for use with their 5" front kit is probably sufficient. If you want the truck to sit level you'll want to purchase the CST lift shackles. Please be sure to select your specific Colorado or Canyon model when placing your order.
