This CST 7" suspension lift system is designed for use on the new body style 2009, 2010 and 2011 model year Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks equipped with the 4.7L V8 only. Ram trucks equipped with the 5.7L Hemi V8 will not achieve the true 7" of lift using the CST 3" Lift Coil Spring (due to weight). CST offers a 3" Lift Coil Spring Spacer as an option for 5.7L V8 owners. This option replaces the CST 3" Lift Coil Springs displayed in the kit. This lift will fit all cab and bed lengths. The CST 7" front lift consists of a pair of CST 4" lift spindles, CST 3" lift coil springs, and extended length stainless front brake hoses. The rear suspension includes a pair of 4" lift rear coil spring spacers, rear track bar drop bracket, and necessary installation hardware. Longer rear shock absorbers are required and PerformanceLifts.com offers a number of options. To help ensure the ride and handling matches the trucks great looks PerformanceLifts.com recommends the Bilstein 5100 series, CST CSR series, or the Rancho RS9000XL series rear shock absorbers for use with this lift. The CST 4" lift spindles are built in the USA using 1018 sheet steel and are stronger than the OEM parts they replace. CST lift spindles also provide a ground clearance increase that give the 2wd Ram 1500 more ground clearance than a same height lifted Ram 1500 4x4! If 7" inches of suspension lift is a little too high we also offer shorter lifts available elsewhere on our website. Please note, at this time CST only offers one rear lift options, a 4" rear coil spring spacer kit. The 4" rear kit included with the 7" kit will level most Ram 1500 trucks front to rear. If you prefer to have the rear of your truck lower than the front we can special order a 3" rear spring spacer kit as an option. This lift has been installed, tested, and successfully held an alignment with no installation or alignment issues typically found in some other lesser quality kits now on the market. Customers are also pleasantly surprised when they learn the truck rides as nice as it looks! This kit does replace the coil springs so there is a change in and for this reason retains a very smooth and comfortable highway and freeway ride. Tire & Wheel Info:
This kit will not work with factory wheels and larger than factory size tires. Aftermarket wheels with less back space than factory wheels are required. CST recommends using an 18" or larger diameter wheel that is 8" or 9" wide. Wheel back space must not exceed 5.00" inches when running 18" diameter wheels or tire sidewall clearance issues may occur! Customers running 20" or larger diameter wheels may use a wheel with up to 5.50" inches of back space. This kit will not fit 2500 or 3500 series Ram trucks. This lift is not designed for Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi equipped trucks as the weight of the 5.7L is too heavy for the 3" lift coil spring. Please note, this kit has been verified to fit 2009, 2010 and the new 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks with the new body style and multi-link coil spring rear suspension design.
